World Cup Hotel Caps Kick Off

After last week’s promise from Brazilian airlines to stop the cost of flights from soaring to unaffordable rates during this year’s World Cup, hotels have also joined in on the capping system. About three quarters of hotels throughout Rio de Janeiro are participating in FIFA’s Match accommodation agreement in an attempt to stop hotels from charging ridiculous rates.

Grin and Bare It

If you haven’t made plans for Valentine’s Day weekend yet, then fear not – as you could compete in The Naked Sledding World Championship instead. Organisers are currently recruiting 30 Brits in the buff to make up Team GB. The fifth annual event, which will be held on the slopes of Braunlage in Germany’s Harz Mountains, is due to take place on Saturday, 15th February. The winning team will take home a hefty £1000, so if you think you can hack it and don’t mind taking your kit off in front of 25,000 spectators, you can apply here. It gives a whole new meaning to the term snowballs…
