Costa Adeje, Tenerife

This particular part of Tenerife is famous for its pristine beaches, making it a popular spot with the celebs (including the Beckhams). While Playa Fanabe has the typical black, volcanic sand indigenous to the Canaries, Playa del Duque offers a nice contrast with golden sand imported from the Sahara Desert.

Stay: Be Live La Nina is a four star hotel right on the beach and is 500 metres away from Puerto Colón marina, making it a great spot for watersports while being close to a number of shops and restaurants.
