The Algarve is always a wonderful holiday destination but there are some great last minute deals to be found this Easter. Albufeira is the ideal resort for a beach break with the family with plenty of beaches to choose from including Praia dos Pescadores, do Tunel and Praia da Oura.

For a day out with the kids, Zoomarine Algarve is a great shout, while it’s always worth having a wander around the resort’s flea market, held on the second and third Saturdays of each month.

Fig Tree Bay, Protaras

Protaras, Cyprus

Flying: 20th April
Price:
£358 pp

Flying out on Easter Sunday, a week’s holiday in Cyprus is guaranteed to keep the whole family entertained. The beach resort of Protaras is much quieter than the lively town of Ayia Napa, just a short distance away, so it’s perfect for families with children who don’t want to be disturbed by rowdy clubbers.

The beach at the wonderfully named Fig Tree Bay is a great place to hang out for the day, with plenty of activities for anyone feeling adventurous. For a unique day trip, make sure you take a trip to the abandoned town of Varosha, which has been left empty after it was invaded in 1974.

Pula Roman Amphitheatre by Chris Yunker via Flickr

Pula, Croatia

Flying: 19th April
Price:
£181 pp

Located on the Istrian Riviera, Pula is a great choice for a long city break or short holiday. The town’s Roman amphitheatre is one of the main attractions here, but there are plenty of modern bars and cafés to enjoy too.

If you fancy hitting the beach, you can head to Pula Bay, while you’ll also find the Verudela Peninsula just a kilometre away, with over 190 kilometres of coastline. Flying to Croatia from London takes around two and a half hours, making it a good option if you don’t mind venturing a little further afield.
