Love paella? Then there really is no better place than Valencia. The delicious dish is said to have been developed in the Spanish city, and there are numerous places to sample it here. Alternatively, if tomatoes are more your thing (throwing them, rather than eating them), anyone in the city on the last Wednesday of August will be able to experience the incredible La Tomatina Festival in the town of Bunol – just remember not to wear your favourite outfit!

One of the highlights on any trip to Corfu is the amazing Aqualand water park, with many of its attractions designed by companies who had worked at the Disney theme parks – so you can expect them to be top quality.
