Top City Break Deals (and free things to do whilst you’re there)

Rome

Rome is one of the most beautiful cities in the world, and it’s easy to spend hours simply wandering around it and taking in the sights. People-watching in one of the traditional squares in the city, such as Piazza Navona with its Baroque fountains, is always a popular pastime, while you can visit The Pantheon and the Trevi Fountain without spending a penny (although you might want to throw one in for luck). Anyone in Rome on the last Sunday of the month can even explore the Vatican for free as it’s open to the public from 9:00 until 12.30.

Marrakech

Marrakech has got it all, from amazing architecture to vibrant markets, and there are plenty of things to do for free here too. The souks in the city are like something you probably have never experienced before and having a stroll through them (and perhaps even a haggle) and soaking up the atmosphere is always lots of fun. Jemaa el Fna square is a lively place to be, offering lots of entertainment including snake charmers and belly dancers. Koutobia Mosque and Tin Mal Mosque are also must-visit places.

Budapest

Food and drink in Budapest is very reasonably priced making the city a fantastic option for anyone on a budget. The Ruin Bars are unique to the city and are sure to be some of the coolest places you’ve ever had a drink in. Architecture around the city is pretty impressive and the Parliament Building and St. Stephen’s Basilica should not be missed. The enormous Great Market is definitely worth visiting, while the 36-metre high column in Heroes Square is a great spot for a photo opportunity.

Amsterdam

Enjoy a free concert on a Wednesday lunchtime between September and June at the Concertgebouwplein as they rehearse for their evening shows.
