If you’d rather hurtle down a mountain than sit on the beach, then keep reading as we’ve picked out four of our best ski deals to save you money on your next skiing trip.
Alpe D’Huez
Catered Hotel from only £509
The great thing about the resort of Alpe D’Huez is that it’s just as fun for beginners as it is for those who have been skiing all of their lives. The ski area is the fifth largest in France with reliable snow cover meaning there’s plenty of room for everyone – and queues for the lifts never get too long! With the ski season beginning here in early December and lasting until late April, you’ll have plenty of options when booking your trip.
Les 2 Alpes
Catered Hotel from only £479
Les 2 Alpes is a fairly modern resort that sits high in the Southern Alps. The area is a long narrow village with excellent and reliable snow coverage, particularly on the higher slopes which is where some of the easier runs can be found. There’s also lots of good off-piste terrain for more experienced skiers. The village here has a certain charm to it and there are plenty of shops, restaurants and bars to choose from – it can get quite lively in the early evening!
Montgenevre
Catered Hotel only £409
Fancy skiing in two different countries on one trip? Well Montgenevre is the place for you. The resort sits on the French and Italian border and is linked to the Milky Way ski area, so you’ll have the chance to test out the slopes in both countries. Nursery slopes around the resort are ideal for beginners, while there’s also plenty of terrain for intermediates that doesn’t get too crowded. Away from the mountains, the village here is as charming as ever with traditional buildings and relaxed bars that are ideal for a mid-afternoon drink and a bite to eat.
Risoul
Catered Hotel from only £459
If it’s beautiful scenery you’re after, it doesn’t get much better than Risoul. Many of the runs in the resort are flanked either side by rows of trees, making it a picturesque area to ski. This is another fantastic resort for all abilities too with wide nursery slopes and easy runs for beginners alongside a variety of blue, red and black runs. Snowboarders are also well catered for here as the resort is home to one of the largest board parks in France.
