Chances are you’re already a few days into the half term holidays. The kids have finally got over their excitement and after another day getting rained on at home, your thoughts have turned to warmer climes. We have some fantastic deals this February whether you’re already planning a summer getaway or something a little sooner.
Magical Majorca
Majorca is a fantastic family-friendly getaway and we particularly rate the Calas de Mallorca region for its kid-centric beaches. The largest, Calas Domingos Gran, has Blue-Flag status and the smallest, Cala Domingos Petit, features fine white sand. With a tourist train trundling between the three of them, tired feet won’t need to trek too far. Outside of the beaches, a funfair and a crazy golf course provide entertainment options, whilst the awe-inspiring Caves of Drach are just a 20-minute drive away. We’re currently offering an all inclusive deal for seven nights at the Club Cala Romani Hotel from just £239 for selected dates in May and October with the option to pay a little extra for dates in the peak-holiday season of June through to September.
The High Life in Crete
If you’re seeking a little luxury – how about a spa hotel built into a Cretan hillside which features not one, but four separate swimming pools and its own Jacuzzi? You’d be forgiven for thinking that this five star property is outside your budget, or that you need to leave the kids at home. It isn’t, and you don’t – although you may very well be tempted to! Children have their own playground and a mini club, with several organised activities throughout the day. We have an incredible deal where seven nights, all inclusive with a free upgrade to a sea-view room cost just £369 for dates in April and £399 for dates in October. The CHC Athina Palace Resort and Spa is certainly spectacular, but the pretty fishing village of Agia Pelagia where the hotel is located is the perfect place to unwind, with pretty coves and beaches and ample opportunities for diving.
Relaxation in the Red Sea
There’s nowhere quite like the Red Sea Riviera for diving and snorkelling. The marine life here is excellent and spotting it is made all the more easy thanks to the region’s crystal clear waters. Most hotels offer visitors their own private stretch of sand, and the four star Panorama Bungalows is of no exception with its own attractive beach just 10 minutes away from the centre of Hurghada and 10 minutes away from El Gouna, a resort particularly well known for its watersports. The hotel itself contains three freshwater swimming pools and a small water park with two flumes that the children are bound to love. That is, of course, if you can drag them away from the kids club and all the fun activities that it offers. And for the grown-ups? The sauna, Turkish baths and massage services are the perfect port-of-call after a day spent under the waves. Panorama Bungalows also features four incredible restaurants, one of which, a Mongolian à la carte, you’ll have trouble staying away from. All this is currently on offer on our website for just £299 travelling in February, March or May or £349 for dates over the school Easter holiday period in April.
