The summer holidays are coming up, but if you haven’t yet looked at booking a family getaway there’s no need to panic. Sunny and not to mention cheap family holidays can be found all year round and we’ve taken a look at what we think are the best all inclusive resorts in Europe.
With packages available that include kids’ clubs, holiday booze and all your meals, there’s very little holiday planning that you need to do. It’s more a case of pack and go.
Just don’t forget the suncream…
Praia de Rocha, Portugal
With a week’s all inclusive holiday in the Algarve costing less than £270pp, the golf isn’t the only reason to head to this sunny resort. There’s also a huge beach with an avenue running alongside it full of bars, restaurants and shops. Outside of Praia de Rocha, there’s tons to keep the kids entertained from the Slide and Splash waterpark to Zoomarine near Albufeira, which has dolphins and sea lions.
Transfer Time: 56 minutes from Faro Airport
Peak season: 21st June to 21st September
Sunny Beach, Bulgaria
If budget is a big consideration for your all inclusive break then why not consider Bulgaria? As far as holiday destinations go it’s still fairly undiscovered – and that means more room on the beaches! Bulgaria has all inclusive packages in the height of July starting at just £175pp (which includes all your meals and your drinks before midnight), so you’ll have plenty of extra cash to spend on enjoying yourself at the nearby amusement parks. Sunny Beach is also close to the deserted bay beach of Robinson Crusoe, where children can rediscover their favourite characters through games and interactive adventures.
Transfer Time: 30 minutes from Bourgas Airport
Peak Season: 25th July to 20th August
Paphos, Cyprus
Paphos is the big resort in sunny Cyprus and we completely understand why so many people love it. It’s not just a beach destination for families, but rather an island built on myth and magic. Said to be the birthplace of the Greek goddess of love, Aphrodite, there’s plenty to fall head over heels with on this island. For a spot of culture, check out the UNESCO Tombs of Kings Complex or for flighty fishes the Paphos Aquarium gives children the chance to find Nemo. Prices in Cyprus are very reasonable with a package in a three star hotel in high season coming in at £305pp.
Transfer Time: 20 minutes from Paphos Airport
Peak Season: June 1st to August 30th is the peak holiday season for Paphos. However, the resort can be great out of season.
You can find great all inclusive packages to these destinations and more through the Holiday Discount Centre website.
