Situated at 2000m in the heart of the Pyrenees, Pas de la Casa is one of Europe’s highest resorts. If you’re new to the slopes, this is the destination for you as the resort is home to the largest ski school in the area.

Standing at a staggering 2,577 metres high, this resort in the French Alps is known for its consistent snow conditions throughout the season. Founded in 1907, Montgenevre is also one of Europe’s oldest resorts and has 400km of runs to choose from.

Passo Tonale, Italy 

This resort in Northern Italy is part of the Rhaetian Alps and is known for its short queues and peaceful setting. Passo Tonale also has plenty of wide-groomed pistes, making it a good shout for snowboarders and large groups.

Borovets, Bulgaria 

After opening in 1896, this Bulgarian resort, on the northern slopes of Rila, offers a range of downhill runs particularly aimed at intermediate and advanced skiers. With 35km of cross country trails, Borovets is also home to one of the world’s best biathlon tracks.

While there’s lots going on for everyone in this traditional Alpine resort, advanced snowboarders will appreciate its park just for them. ‘Surfland’ features its very own 100m long pipe, with plenty of rails and boardercross runs to ride as well.
