It’s that time of the year again folks – Eurovision is back!

So get ready for a night that is guaranteed to be packed full of spectacular lights, unique costumes and just plain weirdness.

The event is being held in the Danish capital of Copenhagen this year, so we’ve rounded up some of the best things to do in the city that definitely score more than ‘nil points’ with us!

Without further ado, here are our top picks:

Louisiana Museum of Modern Art

This museum, located around 40km north of the city, is all about contemporary art work. There’s a permanent collection consisting of over 3,000 works as well as various temporary exhibitions. Look out for artists such as Picasso, Giacometti and Andy Warhol.

Act this would suit most? Iceland. With their multi-coloured suits, Icelandic entry, Pollaponk (we love the name) will definitely feel at home amongst Louisiana’s avant garde vibe.

Bakken/Tivoli Gardens

At 431 years old, this is the oldest amusement park in the world and offers something for all ages. Here, you’ll be able to enjoy an array of crazy rides, greenery and wildlife – there’s even an old London bus that’s been converted into a pub.

Act this would suit most? Ukraine. Singing the funky, up-beat track, ‘Tick-Tock’, Maria Yaremchuk from the Ukraine will love the sheer variety of entertainment here.

The Carlsberg Brewery

No trip to Denmark is complete without a drink of the local beer. And there’s no better place to sample it than the Visit Carlsberg factory. After a tour of the brewery, you’ll end up in the bar for a complimentary brewski – what could be better than that?

Act this would suit most? Armenia. As the favourites to win this year’s event, the Armenian act, Aram MP3, is sure to want to celebrate with a few beers if all goes to plan. This is the ideal place.

The Little Mermaid

Inspired by the Hans Christian Anderson fairy tale, this famous statue – now over 100 years old – is one of the most popular attractions in Denmark.

Act this would suit most? Denmark. With a track called ‘Cliché Love Song’, Denmark’s very own act, Basim may look to take some inspiration from this well-known love story.

Nyhavn

A real hub of activity during the summer months, Nyhavn offers a relaxed atmosphere in which to hang out in. The idyllic harbour here is lined by colourful houses, making it the perfect setting to enjoy a drink or bite to eat whilst listening to a bit of jazz.

Act this would suit most? UK. For a relaxing day out before the big night, this is the ideal place for UK act Molly. That being said, she might also want to celebrate her victory (ahem) with a drink here afterwards!
